If you are like most of our clients experiencing an unplanned pregnancy, you may feel like you don’t have options. But you do have options, and it’s always best to gather as much information as you can before making your final decision.
At Access Women’s Center, one of our goals is to listen to you, sort through your concerns and then explore the decisions that lie ahead. While many women and couples come to us facing significant obstacles, we can help you identify the resources around you that can help make a truly informed decision. We will provide you with a safe, confidential environment for these important discussions. These conversations might include a partner, a parent, a good friend and one of our trusted mentors. We are a safe and confidential facility.
Parenting
If you’re thinking about making the choice to parent, we can walk alongside you and help you prepare emotionally, spiritually, and physically. Our mentors and class facilitators will inform, educate and invest in you and your partner so you are ready for the adventure ahead. While every pregnancy may not be planned, every parent can prepare to lovingly care for the little one they are now responsible for. We can also help provide the practical resources you will need to provide for your baby’s arrival.
Adoption
Perhaps you have considered adoption as a choice, perhaps you haven’t. Adoption has changed a lot over the years; these days you have the power to make an adoption plan that is best for you and your baby. Open? Closed? Semi-open? Like your other options, Access Women’s Center can help answer your adoption questions, provide referrals to adoption agencies, and give you all the information you need to make the best choice for you all without pressure or judgment. If you choose to make an adoption plan, we can support you throughout your pregnancy and help you and your loved ones through this courageous decision.
Abortion
If you’re thinking about terminating a pregnancy, we will non-judgmentally educate you about the process of abortion, the risks involved and the possible short term and long term consequences. We also offer post-abortion emotional and spiritual help to those who had an abortion.
